The Hammerheads will welcome the Richmond Kickers to Legion Stadium on Wednesday evening. This will be the first of three meetings scheduled between the two teams in the next few weeks.
The Hammerheads are coming into the game having won four of their past five league games and are currently sitting in second place in the USL 2 standings with a record of 8-4-2 and have 26 points.
The Kickers come to Wilmington sitting at the top of the USL 2 table, tied for first place with Harrisburg and 29 points.
This game will end a five game home stand for the Hammerheads and collecting a victory will be very important as the end of the season draws closer.
Assistant Coach Chris Bagley commented “Tomorrow night’s game will be a great test for both teams to see how we fair heading into the final stretch of the season. With playoff spots and seeding up for grabs every point is crucial. I think it will be a great game and you'll see some of the more talented players in the league out there playing for both sides. Let's hope we can take care of business and use home field to our advantage and get the full three points.”
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm on Wednesday and tickets are available via www.wilmingtonhammerheads.com or by calling 910-202-0518.
