Wilmington, NC - After starting the season with a hard fought tie against the reigning regular season champion, Charlotte Eagles, the Hammerheads will welcome Crystal Palace Baltimore to Legion Stadium this Saturday. Crystal Palace FC reigns from Baltimore, MD and they are off to a good start this season. They have a win and a tie in their first two matches, which puts them currently tied for first with 4 points in the USL-2 standings.
The Hammerheads earned one point in the standings with their tie of Charlotte last Saturday. The Hammerheads want to build off of that momentum leading into their home opener this Saturday. Crystal Palace and Wilmington played twice last season. Palace beat Wilmington in Maryland but when they traveled to face the Hammerheads in Legion Stadium the match ended in a 2-2 tie.
The game will kickoff at 7:00pm. The gates open at 5:30 pm for the Buffalo Wild Wings Pre-game tailgate Party, which will include live music and free wings. Tickets may be purchased in advance via www.wilmingtonhammerheads.com.
