~ Roxanne DeMonte ~Director of Game Day Operations

Roxanne DeMonte joins us this year as the Director of Game Day Operations.  She has been involved with Wilmington soccer for over 10 years.  She played and coached recreational soccer for Cape Fear Soccer Association and has also attended a few of the Wilmington Hammerhead soccer in her youth.  She recently graduated Cape Fear Comm. College in July.  Roxanne and her family have been long time Wilmington Hammerhead fans and are looking forward to having a great upcoming 2011 soccer season.

~ Matt Sadler ~ Director of Group Sales

The newest member of the office staff is Group Sales Director, Matt Sadler.

Sadler worked the sidelines for three seasons as an assistant with the men’s soccer program at Methodist University. As a player, Sadler was a four-year starting central midfielder for the Methodist Monarchs and served as team captain in his senior season. Sadler has a wealth of coaching experience to bring to the Sea Devils and looks to improve the already stellar junior college program.

Prior to Methodist, Sadler served as assistant athletic director, physical education teacher, and boys and girls soccer coach at Fayetteville Christian School, while also coaching the U-11 Fayetteville Force boys team. Sadler’s boys soccer team at Fayetteville Christian went to the State Final Four twice, and was ranked number one in North Carolina in 2008 with a 17-2-1 overall record. Sadler was named the Conference Coach of the Year, NCSCA Region I Coach of the Year, and North Carolina State Coach of the Year in 2008.

Sadler also spent time coaching and teaching at the Steward School in Richmond, Va. He has additional coaching experience with the Richmond Strikers and the Virginia Olympic Development Program.

Sadler earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Methodist University in 2003. He holds a "B" license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

He and his wife Mary Lawrence were married in April 2010 and recently will share their home with their new daughter,Eliza Grier Sadler.  Post season, Matt will join the Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils as the Men’s Head Soccer Coach.
